Life members are kindly requested to ensure that their membership is classified under the category of academic life members. This can be verified by checking the address label on the envelope containing the latest issue of the ODISHA DOCTORS FORUM Newsletter. Academic life members are identified by the letters ACAD preceding their membership number on the first line of the address label. The ODISHA DOCTORS FORUM invites applications for academic life membership from clinicians with postgraduate degrees and researchers with doctorate qualifications. Applications should be addressed to the Credential Committee, clearly mentioning the year of obtaining their postgraduate qualifications.
Membership Eligibility
Membership of the ODISHA DOCTORS FORUM is open to any individual possessing an MBBS or a Master's degree in allied sciences with an interest in the field of [specialty, e.g., Medicine, Surgery, etc.]. There is only one category of membership, namely, 'Life Membership.' Interested individuals are alt to pay the life membership fee, as determined periodically. Every such individual will henceforth be referred to as a "Member."
ASSOCIATED MEMBER
Individuals who are not medical graduates or postgraduates in allied sciences but have a strong interest in the field of [specialty, e.g., Medicine, Surgery, etc.] may be eligible to become Associated Life Members. To qualify for this membership, individuals must hold a relevant graduate qualification in subjects such as Nutrition, Home Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Bioengineering, etc. All such members are alt to pay the applicable membership fees. Associated Life Members will be entitled to all academic, scientific, and literary benefits offered by the ODISHA DOCTORS FORUM. They may participate in all activities available to regular Members, except that they will not have the right to vote in the General Body or be elected to the Executive Committee. Every such individual will henceforth be referred to as an "Associated Member."
Academic Members
Members with recognized teaching or research experience, academic affiliation, and a postgraduate medical or doctorate qualification with significant contributions in their respective field may be nominated as Academic Members by the Executive Committee (EC). All such individuals will primarily hold the status of "Member" within the ODISHA DOCTORS FORUM.
Cessation of Membership
A "Member" or "Associated Member" shall cease to be so in the following circumstances: If the member resigns by addressing a letter to the Honorary Secretary of the Odisha Doctors FORUM. If the member is expelled by the Executive Committee (EC) due to activities deemed detrimental to the interests of the FORUM. Upon the demise of the member.
Privileges of a Member
Members shall be entitled to receive a copy of the Journal of the Odisha Doctors FORUM free of cost. Other publications of the FORUM shall be available at rates determined by the Executive Committee (EC) from time to time. Members shall have the privilege to attend and participate in all meetings, lectures, Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, and annual meetings upon due registration. Members shall enjoy all other privileges, facilities, and advantages offered by the Odisha Doctors FORUM from time to time.
